I am giving this a 1 star not because of quality of the product but because the bottle I received, the safety seal was not sealed properly and almost a half of the product spilled into the bubble wrap. This will not deter me from buying again but it is the worst experience I've ever had with their products.

Sorry, I love Bluebeards and Mint wash has been my only beard shampoo for years. It’s thick and really foams up with just a dab, even with my big beard. I decided to try this new offering. I am not impressed. At all. This formula literally takes 20 times the amount of the other wash, and it doesn’t lather at all. The Bluebeard’s Mint wash bottle would last me for months and months; if I use this one every day, I’d be out in about two weeks. And to be frank, the results really aren’t that good, neither as a shampoo or conditioner (it’s formulated to be both). Sorry guys, but this was a complete miss for me. I’m ordering the original wash and conditioner ASAP. Both are pricey bottles, but you definitely get the value for your money, both in quality and performance... unless Bluebeards changed the wash line formula to match this one since I last purchased (almost 9 months ago). If that’s the case (I hope not), I have to find a new wash fast.

I started using this beard wash to help with dry skin under my beard. Other beard shampoos I tried would clean my beard but would make my skin dry and irritated. This product is different I love the natural lime scent and how it makes my beard and the skin underneath feel clean and soft. Would definitely recommend to my bearded friends.

I love most of Bluebeards products and have been using them for years. So far there are two products that I really don't enjoy and this "extra conditioning" wash is one. It doesn't really lather well, it is runny, it doesn't feel good on the hair, and it bothers my skin a bit. I don't really notice that it does anything better than the Mint wash which is what I generally use. That said, I have an 8-10 inch beard so it might feel better on a short stubble type.

While I haven't tried many beard washes before, this is by far the best. The other ones I have tried have been very watery and the scent was overbearing. This is a thick, thick lathering, and great smelling wash. Smelled quite strong of lime but after rinsing it out it leaves only a very feint scent behind. Great stuff.

I do not reccomend this brand beard wash. I have been growing my beard for over a year now. I regularly use another beard wash product. Decided to try something new. This product did not work for me not only did it not moisturize my beard it completely dried it out and made the hairs become course and stiff. And you can hardly work it through your beard while in the shower. It just becomes dry instantly, i find that it strips any natural oils from your beard that help to keep it moisturized Also the lime scent smells very fake to me... i will not be purchasing anymore of this product.

The smell is not my favorite, it's a little on the lemony side, but it's not a smell that stays at all. This works really well for beard dandruff. I obviously can't guarantee efficacy for everybody, but two days after purchase and my annoying beard dandruff has already been dramatically reduced. I've used it before and it was effective then as well but ran out. I am surprised at how effective it is in such a short period of time.

I have used 5 or six different products and this one is by far the best. Honestly, I think there are too many products for facial hair. It's kind of taking the manliness out of having a beard or mustache, but that's just me. That being said, there is no reason why you can't keep your beard looking sharp. I am way too ugly to shave, so I need to keep this fuzz looking good for my wife. You don't have to go overboard if you find the right product. I have a very full super curly course beard, and this stuff makes it manageable. It is absolutely worth the extra money for the extra conditioning.

I tried another brand name from a local store and besides a much stronger (annoying) mint smell, it didn't work nearly as good as this. I'm a convert and I tell everyone I know that it's awesome stuff. No more itch or wiry stiff hair. My biggest complaint is now that I know how well this works...now I need to buy their other products. I'm sure I will be just as happy with them.

I've been using Blue Beards products since 2012, and the extra conditioning as long as they've sold it. Nothing else beats as far as I'm concerned, and my beard has spanned various lengths. I've tried quite a few other beard washes, but I keep on coming back to Blue Beards. It keeps my beard soft, doesn't irritate my skin, and has a mild scent once your beard is clean and dry. A little bit of beard oil once it's dry (I use the beard club oil, it's great quality and very affordable), and you're set!

I have a pretty short beard, but I flake terribly. A little bit of this in my beard every other day and I'm flake-free. It lathers very well and a very small amount will clean the whole beard for me. I also like that it has shampoo and conditioning benefits all-in-one. I like this much better than beard oil or balm - less messy and works better too.

I strongly recommend this over the unscented version, which I've also tried but just smells like wet dog to me.

I had been using hair shampoo on my beard, not really thinking anything about it. Browsing in a shaving store, I saw an employee's note on another Bluebeard product. I did a bit of research and decided perhaps I should be using a different product on my beard as the hair on my face is quite different from the little that remains on the top of my head! Bluebeards Beard Wash lathers up spectacularly, smells great, and feels good as I work the wash into and through my beard. My beard feels softer and is more manageable now. I'm glad I made the move!

It pains me to say this but I don't think I can buy this again. This beard shampoo is expensive but in my opinion well worth the money. It helped eliminate any flakes or itchiness and leaves my beard feeling smooth and clean too. But multiple times the shampoo has leaked out of the top cap essentially wasting my investment. It was leaking when I took it out of the packaging when I first got it, and am now on a roadtrip and carrying my toiletries around from place to place. Since the container is not sitting on a shelf in my shower it has started leaking at a much higher rate again no matter how tightly I screw on the top. Even when it is standing up, the contents leak out of the top at a slow rate, but still leaking nonetheless. Could not recommend the product more, but if you are moving around it may not be the best move. Would love to hear about improvements in packaging because that would get me buying your product again immediately.

Skeptical of Beard Wash at first. I had been just using a high end hair conditioner only for the last 6 months. I noticed a significant different softer and cleaner feeling than I had been used to using Bluebeards Wash. I knew this brand was good so I gave it a shoot. It is awesome and only using a dime size amount it will last. I was using it everyday but don't think it is necessary at least for me. Maybe every other day.

This is a decent product. It works as advertised. It smells OK and washes out easily.A warning to any travelers out there, every time I pack this in my luggage for a plane flight, without fail it leaks everywhere. Don't fly with this product unless you put it in a ziplock bag or something.

I've ordered this product twice and can tell a huge difference in the softness of my beard. When my beard was much longer I used a separate wash and conditioner; but with my current 1 1/2 - 2" beard length this stand alobe product works great for everyday washes. Especially when paired with the occasional Beard Repair and Beard Saver products.

This stuff is really fantastic. I had some of the old pesky beard dandruff, simply because I was shampooing with normal shampoo almost every day and it was drying the skin, which was aggravating the beard and helping to create dandruff. I bought this because of the high reviews and I have not been disappointed.It works. Plain and simple. I would suggest using it every other day if you have no dandruff, and maybe daily until it goes away (if you do have it). It also smells really good, it's got a pretty unique and soothing aroma that I love. If you have a beard, this is the only thing I would suggest using on it. It's made for beards, unlike hand soap, everyday shampoo or conditioners. It won't irritate your skin, and it leaves your beard feeling and looking clean, as well as smelling pretty nice. GREAT job guys and gals!

This is nice for shorter beards. However, I'm thinking now that mine is a bit longer I may need to kick it up a notch with a different product. Still, this was working fine for me when my facial hair was < 1 inch and it smells nice (although I don't notice the smell except when I'm in the shower)

I was struggling with dry, itchy, flaky skin beneath my beard (gross, I know.) After doing a little research on beard washes that might help, I settled on Bluebeard's. After the first wash, I noticed a marked difference. My beard flakes were gone and my beard felt cleaner and more manageable. Personally, I like the smell of this wash - it's bright and clean, with a distinct scent of lime.

Expensive, very little different than using a mild shampoo. I find that if I use this anywhere but my beard I get really itchy and I'm wondering if the only reason my beard doesn't is because I'm adding beard oil after my shower? The ingredients are not inspiring confidence and I have no idea why this is so expensive. I would avoid this and stick to a shampoo without so many chemicals.

I bought a couple of bottles of Blue Beard, while it seemed effective for cleaning my beard and I liked the smell it did not help with dry skin/flaking. After using for 4 months and stopping I didn't notice a difference in my beard after going back to my normal routine without product - I have a full beard and typically keep it 1/4"-3/4" long. For the price tag I will be exploring other options
